Pearls are much softer and more delicate than most other jewelry, and need some special care. Perfumes, skin creams and lotions can be absorbed by pearls, so apply these before putting your pearls on. Wiping your pearls off with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then gently drying them before putting them away will also help to protect your pearls. Do not use cleaning products on your pearls.
